Martin leads our Argentinian office. Before joining DAC Beachcroft, he was a partner for over 20 years at a significant Argentine law firm, where he developed and expanded the insurance and reinsurance practice at local, regional, and international levels.

He has advised insurance companies, reinsurers, brokers, and companies from different sectors, both domestic and foreign, as well as international law firms on claims, arbitration and dispute resolution, regulatory and corporate matters.

He is ranked in as a leading individual (Band 1) in Insurance and Reinsurance by Chambers & Partners Latin America, The Legal 500 Latin America, Who's Who Legal (Global Elite Thought Leader), The Best Lawyers in Argentina, and LATAMIR Insurance Review.

Between 1999 and 2004 he trained in the insurance and reinsurance groups of major law firms in the city of London. In 1999, he also did an internship at the International Maritime Organization - UN, where he gained experience in maritime insurance. In 2000, he participated in a project to work on a project to register Lloyd's of London as a single reinsurance entity with the Argentine insurance regulator. He also was part of the "Regulator's Programme" with insurance regulators from various countries, and in 2013, he was appointed as attorney-in-fact of Lloyd's of London in Argentina.

From 2017 to 2019, he served as vice president and president of an international network of insurance and reinsurance specialist lawyers, contributing to its global expansion.

Martin is a professor of insurance law at the Universidad Católica Argentina and the Universidad de San Andrés for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

He is a member of the Public Bar Association of Buenos Aires, the International Association for Insurance Law (A.I.D.A) (Argentine branch), and has been the editor of the insurance and reinsurance feature of ElDial.com for 18 years.
