Tim began his career as a claims adjuster with a third-party administrator. Following law school, he advanced rapidly in the (re)insurance industry, which by age 30, he was Chief Claim and Legal Officer for a reinsurer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From there, Tim worked for several domestic and foreign re(insurers) in various capacities such as Head of Claims, General Counsel and Secretary. In 2004, he returned to private practice, becoming a partner at several prominent firms, where he frequently chaired or co-chaired insurance and reinsurance practice areas.  He has been involved in the formation, merger and acquisition of (re)insurance operations in the United States, and the analysis of books of business for potential acquisition.  Tim was also the principal owner of a family run restaurant on The Bund in Shanghai, China. 

Featured expertise:

• Coverage counsel for domestic insurer for all losses arising from Super Storm Sandy.
• Successfully argued a late notice issue on behalf an insurer before the West Virginia Supreme in a catastrophic death case.
• Formed a specialty insurer in Delaware with respect to real estate transactions.
• Analysis of books of business, including environmental, asbestos and bad faith exposures, for reserve and IBNR sufficiency regarding potential acquisition.
