Overview

As we enter a New Year, we have had the opportunity to reflect on 2024 and the work the DACB Corporate team has done to support its clients in executing complex and significant transactions.

Whether our clients are growing, diversifying, downsizing, investing, exiting, seeking a listing, or fundraising, our corporate lawyers support them in achieving their business objectives, with the ability to provide a complete service across the whole spectrum of corporate transactions and advice.

Over the past year the team’s work has included:

  • Advising Royal London in relation to its acquisition of a 50% stake in centre:mk shopping centre in Milton Keynes from AustralianSuper.
  • Advising on the set up and equity funding for RAW Energy and various follow on transactions.
  • Advising Tavistock on the sale of its financial advice businesses to Saltus. For a total consideration of up to £37.75m.
  • Advising European Green Transition plc on its admission to AIM and associated £6.5 million fundraising.
  • Advising Canaccord Genuity and VSA Capital on a £57 million placing, subscription and open offer by Invinity Energy Systems plc.
  • Advising Quintain, the UK developer owned by Lonestar Funds, on the disposal of two BTR schemes at Wembley to KKR.
  • Advising AIM-quoted IQGeo Group plc on its £333m acquisition by KKR by means of a scheme of arrangement.
  • Advising The London Clinic, the UK’s largest independent charitable hospital, in connection with its partnership arrangements with Northwestern Medicine, a leading U.S. based academic healthcare organisation.
  • Advising Stronghold Asset Management on a joint venture transaction with Apollo Global Management, Inc. and associated refinancing of Stronghold's revolving credit facility.
  • Advising Landsec on the acquisition of a 92 per cent. stake in Liverpool One shopping centre, the UK's largest open air shopping centre.
  • Advising Croft Communications on refinancing transaction with Five Arrows Debt Partner.
  • Advising Brown & Brown Europe on its acquisition of Berkeley Insurance Group, one of the UK's largest independent insurance brokers.
