Overview

The UK Information Commissioner’s Office has long had a reputation of pragmatic regulation, particularly when compared to the more dogmatic approach of its EU counterparts. The ICO’s recent two-year trial of an alternative enforcement regime for the public sector is an example of this pragmatic regulation.
